Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey has stood at the heart of the capital for centuries. Since
1066 virtually every British sovereign has been crowned here and for centuries
it was the burial place of kings and queens. Famous is Poets' Corner. Some
of the most famous buried here are Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy. A short
walk from the abbey will take you to the largest and most important Roman
Catholic church in England - Westminster Cathedral.
